1970 K5 lt1 swap

Hello everyone. I am going to be installing an lt1 into my two wheel drive 70 k5 blazer. I had a couple of questions regarding the install process. First off, how hard do you think its going to be? Do the motor mounts line up? As far as the power steering goes, will I be using the pump from the lt1 setup, or the trucks setup? Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks For reading!

If the truck had a small block in it before you can re-use the motor mounts. If you have the accessories and belt from the LT1, I would use them on the truck.

mounts will line up, the pass side needs to use the bolt hole from the rear A/C compressor brace, use the LT1 brackets and accessories, just custom make a high pressure P/S line(use the new and the old, use high pressure flare fittings to connect)

I am also doing an lt1 swap into a '70 K20 truck. Another question is, will my trucks th350 bolt up to the lt1 and can I use a th350 stall converter or do I need a custom converter? I will be using a GMPP carb intake. Any other tips or hints would be unbelievably appreciated!

the T350 will bolt up fine, it will use a standard sbc converter

will you be using a standard rear mount distributor?

'96 LT1
GMPP carb intake
MSD HEI distributor
TCI flexplate
2500rpm stall
cc503 cam
LT4 valvesprings

you can use the power steering pump but you might need to have some new hoses made up. They are not expensive.

I dont think Deenasty is checking this post anymore, I brought it up from a while back. I am actually using a K20, 3/4 ton 4wd truck. It will be a mud/trail truck. Progress wont be very quick, but I do plan on having the LT1 in the truck and running within the next few weeks. I am still in the process of pulling the stock drivetrain.
