1969 camaro ss

Whats the best wat to tell if a 69 camaro is an ss or not if it doesnt have the original motor??? trim tag???

the answer is, there is no way, unless you have the build sheet, or other documents,

all you can do is see what options it has, and then the the chances are good, it might have been an ss, but like i said, there is no way to prove it

for a 69 you will have a X66 code on the data plate. Guarenteed way to tell.

The X codes were not used at all of the assembly plants.
