Hey guys how it going.. i am going to a auction tommorow and interested in a 1969 camaro 2dr thats going to be there i was wondering if somone could help me out and let me no exzactly what this car is by the serial number its 12337n540445

You can't tell much from the vin, other than the last several #s should match the ones stamped on the engine pad to verify engine originality. You need to look at the body plate on the firewall. Codes on there will give you trim, paint, etc. Depending on where it was built and when, it can even tell you if it's a Z28. Info on decoding can be found at camaros.net, a 1st gen specific site.

Vin code doesn't tell a lot. The older cars have all the important information on the cowl tags like the new cars have an RPO list.
