Here's my philosophy, take it for what its worth. If you're spending $7k on an f-car and you want a 4th gen, find the LS1, it's worth it!
And here's one I found, far and few between, that fit your price range and appears and sounds to be in tip-top shape.

If you're going with an LT1, find one for $4k or below (my dad has a 94 for sale, will probly take around $3200 for it, leme know if you're interested) and then the rest is mod money... H/C & NOS... alot of things wont touch it. Anyways, hope this was of some help... just my $.02
