T/A-Bob's 1994 Trans Am - 59K original miles
*SOLD*
1994 Trans Am - 59K miles
Asking $5899
Please PM if interested. I'm in the Chicago NW suburbs, about 15 minutes from the Tri-State (294) and/or about 15 minutes from I-90.
I'll add more photos soon.
1994 Trans Am - 59K miles
- LT1 / A4 / T-Tops
- K&N FIPK ("cold air intake") with re-charge kit
- Corsa stainless steel cat-back (stock exhaust manifolds, stock y-pipe and stock cat)... sounds very nice
- Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers
- 3.42:1 rear axle ratio
- Summit Racing cast differential cover with adjustable bearing supports (pic below is from when I still had factory cat-back)
- Superior axle shafts with ARP wheel studs
- Note: Rear end has NEVER been damaged. I had these upgrades done when I had the ring and pinion changed.
- HyperTech Power Programmer
- 160 degree thermostat and re-programmed cooling fans
- Polyurethane stabilizer bar bushings
- Polyurethane torque arm bushing
- Throttle body bypass
- Throttle body air foil
- Re-located IAT sensor (intake air temperature)
- LT4 knock module
- Polished & de-screened MAF (NOT ported. I still have original screen.)
- Low spoiler with factory 115MPH speedo (limiter programmed out via HyperTech)
- Factory 16x8 swirly wheels in white (very uncommon)
- Front tires: Michelin Pilot XGT - 245/50-16 lots of tread left
- Rear tires: Nitto 555R Extreme Drag - 245/50-16 not much tread left
- Winter tires: ((brand?? - can't remember, will check)) 225/60-16 on factory silver swirlies painted to match the "real" white ones. Less than 3K miles on these
- Green Stuff brake pads
- Original window sticker, build sheet, owner's manual, very nice Pontiac 1994 sales brochure (covers all models, not just Firebird).
- Nice factory stereo with 7-band EQ and steering wheel controls.
- Engine has never been out of the car, heads never off, trans never out of car, never seen a body shop, pretty virginal.
- Recent stuff within the last ~5K miles... genuine GM Optispark, genuine GM water pump, genuine GM coil, genuine GM O2 sensors, new battery

Re: T/A-Bob's 1994 Trans Am - 59K original miles
There's not a whole lot of affordable, clean 4th gens floating around. You have the LT1's with 120K+ miles that still run OK but are getting pretty tired, for like $2500. You have the pristine LS1 cars that are virtually like new but maybe are in the $12K-$15K+ range.
My car is right in the middle.

Hey Bob,
Not sure if you hang around here anymore, but did you ever get around to selling your Trans Am? I tried to send ya a PM but it said your mailbox is full. Hit me up if you get a chance.

Re: T/A-Bob's 1994 Trans Am - 59K original miles
I never sold the TA. As the summer wore on I decided I wanted to keep it.
Now with spring finally approaching, I'm thinking about selling it again. Don't think I put more than about 500 miles on it over the past year. For a good offer I think I could let go of it...
EDIT: Just noticed that I've listed it on the board for $5899... I was asking $6199 here (locally) the handful of times I parked it with a for-sale sign on it.
