I will do whatever it takes to sell this car.

I've had it with bills. It's nice to have a new car under warranty, but due to some new circumstances I need to sell it. I love the car, but honestly it needs to go.

See this thead here: GTO for Sale

It's a lease, and the above post lists all the lease info.

I will make 2 monthly payments for you.

I want to keep it, but it's not the smart thing to do right now.
Please see the other thead on how to contact me.
I am open to any offer at this point.

Milo, what would it be to buy the car outright? Can you take a car lease, and change it to buying it? I don't know a whole lot about it but I bet if you were selling it outright or at least had the ability to, you would have more luck!

You should be able to buy it outright.

Yes, you can do a few things with a lease:

- Continue Make your monthly payments per month until the end of the lease.

- Buy the car at the end of the lease...or turn it in

- To break the lease, you have to make all the payments. So, lets say I wanted to turn the car back in. I would owe 17 months of payments of around 324 so = $5,508. For me to walk away from the car now would cost me $5k, I just don't have that.

If someone DID want to buy the car now, here are the numbers (also listed in this post )

Current payoff: $26,179.53
This is what GMAC wants for the car right now. You write them a check for that amount, they give you the title. You don't have to fuss with a lease, nothing. It would be like buying any other car.

Payoff at end of lease: $21,077.80
That is what will be owed at the end of the lease. You can continue to make the monthly payments and if you want to buy it at the end of the lease, you write a check to GMAC for that amount, and you keep the car (or get it financed at a bank). OR, you can just turn it in and walk way from it.

Make sense?

If not please contact me if you have any questions at all.
Thanks!
Milo.

how about I take over the payments and the car, but you keep the lease in your name? Might have some marital things coming up that would mean I wouldn't want something like that in my name for her to take

Perhaps after the marital things get worked out?

I really need to sell it due to increasing medical bills. I was going to get a cheap 4th gen, but that's out of the question at this point.

Thanks,
Milo.
