Hugger Z for sale
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1999 Hugger Orange Z28 F/S
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have deal pending on an Avalanche so must sell so the dealer does not kill me on the trade..........$11,400.
1999 Hugger Orange Z28 with tan interior. Just passed 80K, only 45,000 on engine block. I am the original owner.
I have all original parts except the stock wheels.
Mods: Whisper Lid, Fast Toys Ram Air, Holley Powershot, Mac mid-length headers with Dynomax bullets in Y-pipe. SLP Loudmouth exhaust with Dynomax bullet in place of "resonator" with dual slash tips, B&M Ripper Shifter, BMR Strut Tower Brace and BMR boxed LCA (in hugger orange), SLP Bolt-on subframe connectors, Bilstien HDs, NOS 5177 kit with 15lb bottle - purge - heater - and all safety items (seen 3 bottles, total), 28.8lb injectors, 160 thermostat, Boyd Coddington Shyster wheels (17x9.5), custom neoprene seat covers with stitched Z28 in "head rest," HBA billet pedals, and MTX Thunderform amplified subwoofer. Could be a couple other things, but I lost track!
Had custom tuning when NOS kit was put on by Norris Motorsports.
N/A: 335 hp, 338 ft/lbs
with 100 shot: 427 hp, 474 ft/lbs
I have taken this car to the track twice for a total of 5 runs. Best runs were a 12.8 prior to the tune and an 11.7 after tune an NOS 100 shot. Has not been back to the track in over 1.5 years.
Just put new Yokohamas on the car, Spec Stage III with all hydraulic upgrades, and Walbro fuel pump...about $2500 in parts and labor.

I have been looking for a Z for a while. What worries me about you car is the track mods and the new motor at 35k. Can you explain that a little more? To be honest, I didn't even take a second look at your original ad when I saw your mods, a track raced car, and a motor replaced at 35k.
You may want to go into that a little more if you really need to sell. I know as a buyer, that's what has made me stay away from it.

No problem. The motor was replaced after I hit a puddle going into a pizza place entrance and water splashed up and got sucked into the intake and then caused the motor to hydro lock which put a rod through the block. It was replaced under warranty at around 24,000 miles.
As for track mods, I have only had the car to the track twice. The first was pretty early on after I did the exhaust and I did two runs just to see what she would do. The second was after putting on the nitrous to again see what she could do. Other than these two, the only "racing" has been to show a couple Mustangs and a smart *** Porche owner a lesson.
