Getting Ready to Post 96 Z28 for Sale

Guys,

It's a sad day, but I've decided to sell my 96 Z28. I bought it use back in 98, so owned that thing for 12 years now.

Here's the story...car won't pass smog now in CA. I have the emissions reading, so can post that later. I called a dealership to find replacement factory cats...said GM doesn't make/stock them anymore. So kinda SOL to fixing it for emissions...so just don't want to deal with emissions anymore.

Nothing's wrong with the car...runs like a champ. You get see the mods in my sig and can tell you a longer list of all the modifications. Pics are also in my CarDomain site in the sig as well. I'll have to wash/wash it again, before I actually post the car for sale.

Just giving everyone a heads up, before I actually work on posting the car here, Craigs List, EBay...want to write up the modifications.

Won't pass CA smog so you can use for offroad use in CA, or if you're from out of state with different emissions levels.

It's my understanding that if the parts needed to bring it into compliance are not available, then CARB will sign off on a waiver...prolly have to do that every two years, though. There are surely some aftermarket cats that will work to correct the high emissions, but you will have to adapt the drivers side due to the weird three-bolt flange that side uses. In my experience smog shops are not very particular on the whole "Must be Factory cats, in the stock locations" thing....as long as there are two cats on there, somewhere, it usually is not a problem.
