Gauging Interest: Wrecked 93 LT1 6 speed, good drivetrain

im considering selling my wrecked 93 Z28. has 120k miles on it, put it in a ditch backwards on Friday (the 21st). Need to save some more money till i can buy a new LT1. im thinking about keeping this for a while till i buy a new car and swapping whatever i want onto the new car or whatever i need. But im wondering what i would be able to get. Car ran and drove flawlessly before. My dad wants me to try and sell it as a whole car instead of parting it out.

It turned a 14.1 at 99mph with a 2.2 60 ft. part of the reason i crashed was bald rear tires. this is a very respectable time for a mostly stock LT1. anyways has an M29 trans, 3.23 posi. Whole drivetrain still worked perfectly. obviously the car drives a little off as it was put in a ditch but it would be the perfect donor car for an LT1/ T56 swap. rear end works perfect to, good posi unitand always serviced with good synthetic oil and posi additive.
this car was my daily driver and it NEVER failed on me. Ive had it since 115k miles and EVERY single mile before that was on the highway because the car was located on farms its whole life near Peoria, Illinois.

Obviously im not looking to get back what these mods are worth im just adding up the amount of good extras...

Has chrome ZR1's: i dont know exactly how much these are new cause they came on the car with the crap tires
Hurst short throw with speed Inc short stick: $240
K&N CAI, needs a filter tho: new i thinks its $200

theres obviously about $1500 into the car, but like i said i might take soem of the things off for my next car, however im seeing what i could get for it as is.
so i guess im asking what is it worth as it is right now. Only good body parts on the car are the passenger fender, door, and passenger quarter has a kink that can be pulled out, also rear hatch is fine and the front end is definitly useable, however the car is overall off in the front and back. Has some minor kinks in the trunk area from hitting the ditch backwards. Car can definitly be fixed but its not worth it in my situation. The ditch put a kink in the passenger quarter panel from hittin the ground so hard and the hood is kinked in certain spots too. Also when i rolled uphill outa the ditch the driver side smucked a tree, so thats why the drivers side is missing the whole door skin and everything. I just drove the car last night to the jet wash to clean all the dirt and mud and crap stuck underneath it.

also, both seats have twisted frames, passenger side is more noticeable because the kid riding shotgun weighs 250 lbs. also center console has broken mounting points. everything else inside is fine, no idiot lights on or anything and the airbags are still normal, never went off

Cardomain is being gay so heres a link to another forum with some good pictures.

and here is the car as it sits now:

Hey man, sorry to hear about your loss. Did almost the same thing to mine

Why not try and do what I'm doing this weekend, buy a rolling chassis and transfer the powertrain? Just a thought

nope. dont wanna take the time or effort. id rather get what i can for it and say goodbye. the drivetrain has some miles on it but it was still pretty much flawless and still is. only thing is im going to college in a few years and dont wanna take a project car down there, and worry about things, and worry about the high mileage especially after i drive there a few times. either way id rather start new and have a car that came out of GM like that. BTW i have the stock spoiler, im gona keep the Wings West one.

How much? Is the frame bent or damaged at all? What needs replacing? Does it drive?

Re: Gauging Interest: Wrecked 93 LT1 6 speed, good drivetrain

it drives fine. i drove it back from the wreck scene and then to the jetwash to get the crap off of it. only reason i dont drive it more is cause i dont want to get pulled over or anything. the front clip is off about a half inch in the front, not very noticeable until you see the hood, and the rear part of the car is off a good bit. i pulled the carpet back in the trunk area and took out the plastic panels on the sides, there are a few areas where you can see are bent from the wreck. i got a quote of around 6 grand to fix everything. the car drives fine, it doesnt dogtail or anything, would make a fine daily drive after replacing the panels and doing a little work, but i dont wanna turn this car into anything special now, mostly because it will always have some gaps in it and i dont wanna have a car that i wrecked. my friend offered me 2k without the ZR1's. but he wont be able to get me the money for a few months. im in no hurry to get rid of it cause i have free storage and im gonna wait to see what i can get, also it will have to be picked up, i wont transport the car anywhere. i suppose it can be driven somewhere else but not very far seeing as there is no door skin and the drivers 1/4 rubs the tire a little bit but not bad.
