Gauging Interest: 1997 T/A, black, A4
Thinking about selling my T/A to make room for a newer car (LS1). It's a black 1997 Trans Am. It's been a while since I've driven it, so I don't know the exact mileage, but it's over 120k. I can get the exact number if anybody wants to know. The engine is pretty much stock, except for Moroso cold air intake, Crane HI-6 ignition which was only on it for about a month before I stopped driving it, and an underdrive pulley (crank & alternator). Last May I broke the timing chain and replaced it with an LT4 Extreme Duty chain. The car was still missing pretty bad, so I replaced the optispark & plugs, but it was still missing. Compression test seemed ok, but the only thing I can think of and the only thing anyone could tell me was that I must have bent some valves. I haven't had the time to work on it because I've been working on my other car, so I just decided I'd try to sell it. The body is in pretty good shape, a few dents and dings, but nothing major. It has new 10-spoke SS wheels and Sumitomo 275/40-17 HTR+ tires which were used for about two months, and I also have a set of 16" Eagle 077's with tires. I'm not sure about the price, but I'd like to get $2500 with the 16's or $3200 with the 17's.
