FS or Trade: 2 vehicles, 1995 Jimmy 4x4 & 1989 Cavalier Z24
I have two cars I would like to sell together, individually or trade w/cash for a '91 or '92 L98/Auto/Z28. The main reason I am selling both cars is to get some cash together to buy a '91 or '92 Z28. The secondary reason is to make the wife happy. First time for everthing... :)
I will consider all offers on each vehicle, so just post away if you are interested in them. :) And if you are a person who wants to rid themselves of an AUTO L98 '91 or '92 Z28, and want to trade and get cash, too, let me know. Anyway the cars are: 1995 GMC Jimmy 4x4/4.3 Vortec/Auto/Tow Package with Tow Hooks/155,458 miles and/or 1989 Cavalier Z24/2.8 V6/Auto/It's a good beater, original motor/trans. Never wrecked. I bought the car new in 1989, my first car. The interior is nice with the exception of only two things I can think of, 1) The roof cloth is hanging down and 2) One AC vent is cracked in two areas. The motor still runs well, the trans still works very good. The comressor is on it's way out (death rattle), but still works. The information on the 1995 GMC Jimmy: -The head unit is an Alpine CD. -The body has one dent that could be popped out with very little trouble at a dent repair shop. I never cared enough to do anything about it. -The hood release lever is broken. I have had to use needle nose pliers to pop the hood. -The paint is faded badly on the roof rack and rear window wiper. -The paint on the lower front bumper panel has faded to pink. The rest of the truck has very nice bright red paint. -The "C" of "GMC" on the front grill is missing. -The majority of the upholstery is in near new condition, except the driver side area where a new door seal is needed. This area has gotten wet in hard rains. Still the drivers side upholstery is very good, I just wanted to point that out. -The carpet, too, is in very good condition, except the drivers side which gets wet due to the door seal. As above, the rug is still fine, I just wanted to point it out. -The interior panels and dash are in excellent condition except the drivers side power accesories panel (where the remote for the mirrors and all door locks and door windows are). Here the previous owner replaced a switch but used two philip head screws to re-attach the the small panel! It doesn't like that bad, but it is stupid that it is there. -The air conditioning worked fine the last time I used it, but in the past I have had a problem with a slow leak. That was the only problem I have ever had with the HVAC system. -I was going to replace the engine (4.3 Vortec V6) due to the mileage. It always ran a little rough and hot in heavy traffic on days near 90-95. It, however, never left us stranded (it was our family vehicle until we had a third child) and we drove everywhere in it. -The transmission is shot. I was going to buy the transmission and engine through AC DELCO/GM and replace both. The engine can still be used if you choose to, but the transmission cannot. -The transaxle is electrically controlled (push button) and works great. It has 4 Lo and 4 Hi. All work. -As I said before it was our family vehicle up until the transmission died and our third child was on the way (so it has sat since April or May 2003). Then I bought the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 quad cab. We used the Jimmy on many long trips from here to Arlington, Virginia (three hour trips) and besides running a hotter than it should in heavy stop and go traffic it was very reliable. The body and the interior is in excellent enough shape. Anyway, below is the pasted KBB info. I will be happy to answer any and all questions and provide pics (I have ten pics of the Jimmy I took yesterday when the snow and ice melted). ****FROM KBB (I graded it harshly, btw)**** Engine: V6 4.3L High Output Trans: Automatic Drive: 4 Wheel Drive Mileage: 155,458 Equipment: SLS Model Air Conditioning Power Steering Power Windows Power Door Locks Power Mirrors Tilt Wheel Cruise Control AM/FM Stereo Single Compact Disc ABS (4-Wheel) Roof Rack Privacy Glass Towing Pkg Alloy Wheels Consumer Rated Condition: Good Body Some Dents / Dings Paint Dull / Chipped / Scratched Chrome / Trim No Defects Glass No Defects Lights / Lenses No Defects Rust None Hail Damage None Upholstery Stained / Worn Carpet Stained Interior Panels Cracked / Damaged Odor: Smoke / Mold Obvious Air Conditioning Needs Repair Power Accessories or Instruments All Operate Engine Repair / Replace Transmission Repair / Replace Steering Tight / Trouble Free Suspension Unaltered and Trouble Free Frame / Unibody Straight Brakes Not Worn over 50% life Tires Not Worn & Correct Size & All Match Title--Pink Slip Clean Title History Body Repair Done None Body Repair Required None Private Party Value This Car $3,735 Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party.
