FS: Silver '96 Camaro Z28 6SPD 82K Miles

I posted a Wanted to Trade ad the other day. Summer is approaching and if I have to....I will just sell my Silver hard top outright and buy an automatic convertible.

Basically, I just bought this car and I already have parts sitting in my basement for it (SLP Exhaust, Crossdrilled & Slotted Rotors/Etc..). I wanted to get a jump on modifications before I leave for the Air Force in August. I love the car but I really wish I had went with an automatic. The car is suprisingly easy to shift, although, between the skiip shift feature and the fact I do mostly city driving....I know for sure an automatic will suite my needs better.

The car was from Florida last summer. Its in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically. Always babied and never been hit. It would be extremely hard to find another one in like condition. The car has an aftermarket pioneer cd player with xm capability (one of their top end deck). It has leather interior and all the power features along with remote keyless entry and factory anti-theft.

82K original miles (only driven about 1200 miles in PA). I will be replacing the original front pads as they are getting low. Its PA inspected and emissioned until 4/06. The exhaust is from a very late model LS1 and was brand new. I had the rims and tires balanced today and the local Chevy garage will be doing a 4 wheel alignment on Monday. Other than that......the car needs nothing. It is ready to drive across country.

Price: $8,000
Location: Erie, PA

The car has a clear title and it is in my name and lein free. I can assist with pickup of a buyer from any surrounding airport (if need be)....and the car is available to be shown or driven anytime.

I responded to both you guys.

I'm impatient and could not wait to install the exhaust.....so its included with the car. The crossdrilled/slotted rotors are sitting in my house (brand new in the box) and if someone wants them - $200) or I'll just keep them for the automatic Z I buy.

I do not have any way to get pictures but I encourage anyone to come look at the car/drive it because no one would be disappointed. I'm available anytime to show the car within the next month except this Tues/Wed as I will be at the reserve base in Pittsburgh.

I've looked into doing a T-56 to Auto swap because I like this car and its in such nice shape but I've read/been told that there will be some huge wiring issues to oversome.......so I might as well just let this car go and look for a Convertible auto from out West or down South.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention.

I had the car up on the rack at my friend's shop to do the exhaust and while it was up we changed all 4 rear control arm bushings with an updated bushing (that is solid compared to the stock bushing that looks like a star).

How "negotiable" is the $8K? What do you really want to get out of it?

Re: FS: Silver '96 Camaro Z28 82K Miles

Guys, I said I have no way to get pictures right now. I've also stated the cars condition and the fact I know that no one would be disappointed if they came to look at the car.

I've sold more than a few cars to out of state buyers (I've had people drive from Maine, fly in from Wisconsin/Florida)....and no one has ever been disappointed and I always play the condition of the car down while telling the buyer every little flaw (no sense having someone fly across country or drive 800 miles and have them upset).

If someone that is not local (not within driving distance) is interested....call me and show you're sincerity and I will find a way to get pictures taken. I honestly don't have time to send everyone here pictures. Most of the time pictures are a waste anyway (I would never buy a car just having seen pictures).

As far as price. I will negotiate a little (I payed more than Private Book because of the excellent condition and I didn't plan on selling it)....not to mention that I'm including a $380 exhaust kit that is installed and has 100 miles on it). I've said that I've had the wheels balanced, alignment will be done, control arm bushings were done, brand new cd deck. Now, as far as whats the bottom line on what I'll take.....thats a BS question. Try going to a dealership and ask them that one. We all know that cash talks....so again if someone is that serious then come make me a cash offer.

I live in Chicago, Illinois, and I'm not really willing to drive to PA to LOOK at a car.... the point of seeing pictures is to see if you would even THINK about buying the car, it is just a preview to make sure your INTERESTED. I also find it hard to believe that you don't have 5 minutes or less to take out a camera, push a button, and upload the pictures onto your computer. That just makes me think that your trying to pull something. If you really want to sell your car, I suggest you take it a little more seriously.

Why don't you just eliminate the skip shift and keep it? I don't understand why you would rather have an automatic Z than an M6.

Car is going in the local paper and yard for $7800. I've found a local 96 Z28 that is automatic and this beautiful M6 must go.

$7100 I'll pay to have the stock muffler reinstalled and new (catback to muffler) stainless pipe bent up. Buyer pays for new front brakes themselves (will need done soon - at ~ 4-5B). I'll do the brakes and have the rotors turned for an additional $100.

814 746-1910 is my new cell phone number.
