FS: heavily modded 5.0 Mustang!!

It's an '89. It has a few goodies. It ran a 8.5 @ 88mph on the stock slipping clutch and the stock blown tranny (synchro's). It's easily a mid-high 12's car w/ the mods it has, which are as follows:
gt40p intake
gt40p heads
Flowtech gt40p shorties
MSD igntion
MSD coil
no polutions
power nothing (very light car.. has power lumbar)
e303 cam
hi-volume oil pump
been converted to MAF
electric fan setup (very powerful)
currently has 273 8.8 posi in, but I have 355's in box waiting to be installed
rebuilt '92 5spd transmission
new king cobra clutch
rebuilt motor
2.5" mandrel exhaust
Summit h-pipe
Flowmaster super 40 mufflers

Lots and lots of goodies! It's not perfect, as it was sitting for 7 years before I picked it up, but it's coming a long way. Even w/ the gas leak (150$ repair, coming from above tank), it gets 14-16mpg around post, and since 5th gear doesn't come till 70-75mph, it gets twice that on the highway.
Asking $5800. Have a kid coming, can't transport him in a loud, overly-rich smelling 5.0 I'm sure I forgot somethings, but I will ammend this as I remember.
I have some videos and pictures upon request.
Thanks
Matt

Too bad you are selling the car, you seemed to be having alot of fun with it. Good luck with the sale though.

Oh I know man.. I LOVE this car, but since there is a kid on the way, I dont think he'll wanna drive in a car that's loud and smells like raw petrolium byproduct
It gets good gas mileage and all, by my wife and I are starting new w/ cars that get FANTASTIC gas mileage.
And yes, I am reinstating my '93 Sunbird

Let him be the judge of that.

You may be surprised at your kid. My daughter is 5, and she LOVES to go riding in the 'race car' as she calls it. My two teenages sons DONT like it, cause when I drive, I DRIVE it. Not a bad thing that the teenagers don't like it.

Good luck with the sale.

Matt, you should post the pics in your thread...itll probably help out a bit. Or you could post your craigslist link. Doesn't it also only have 59,000 miles? That should help it sell as well!

This car is faaast, reliable and in VERY good condition for it's age. It is also probably the best sounding car I have ever heard in real life. Awesome idle, with a roaring WOT sound along with power to back it up. I could only imagine the 355 gears in it as well! Buy with confidence.

Yes i did infact see that You'll have pictures and video in a few minutes as well.
Reason i asked is mass air was introduced in 1989 for the 5.0 mustang.
