FS/FT: 1995 dark purple metallic Z28 M6/t-tops some mods $5500
I've decided to try selling my 95 Z28. It's very very clean, everything works, and it looks awesome. I would like to get $5500 for it, but I am also interested in a trade (+ cash on my end) for a 96-98 Mustang Cobra with low miles. Send me a PM or e-mail plethaus@yahoo.com
Here's the info:
139k miles
Was bone stock when I got it, now has:
Crane Gold 1.6 SA rockers
4.10 gears professionally installed
Lingenfelter "Supertube" cold air intake
Pro 5.0 with cut stick (approx. 1") - feels amazing!
Still has completely stock exhaust
When I bought it there were two broken exhaust manifold studs on the driver's side head. A friend of mine who also posts here (Kevin Blown 95 TA) took off both heads, fixed the studs, and took the heads in to C&S Performance here in Milwaukee ( http://www.cs-performance.net ) to have them cleaned up and milled as well as a 3-angle valve job. With the milled heads the compression ratio is now 10.7:1. I have an Excel spreadsheet showing these calculations, if anyone is interested.
When the heads were put back in, very low-mileage lifters and pushrods were used, as well as brand new LT4 springs. We also put in fresh plugs and wires.
The car has fantastic oil pressure, does not leak a drop of anything (the infamous LT1 intake oil leak was taken care of while the heads were off), and it runs VERY VERY strong. I took it to the track last week and ran a 13.51 @ 105.43mph in hot, humid weather with a gentle launch and a 2.15 60 foot time. There is a LOT of potential in this car. Will full exhaust and a tweaked tune I don't doubt that it will see 107mph on a cooler night, maybe more.
EVERYTHING works on the car, including ice cold A/C, both power windows, power locks, power driver's seat, cruise control, etc. etc. The car still has the factory AM/FM cassette which works OK but sounds like crap.
It's rolling on 16" Firebird wheels that have about 25k miles on them I believe, and the tires are original 1995 GS-Cs that are still in good shape albeit a little hard.
The interior needs a good shampooing but everything is in fantastic shape overall. The only flaws that a good cleaning can't fix are some damage to the CD holder piece of the center console right above the cigarette lighter (I did not smoke in the car nor did the previous owner, but someone down the line did and it looks melted right there), and some wear in the driver's side bolster (not torn yet though!).
The exterior is in very good shape overall but it does have some blemishes and scratches here and there. There is a crack in the front bumper just below the Chevy "bowtie" but it can't really be seen unless you're looking and it could be fixed with some JB Weld or something similar. The rear quarter panels have some of the typical f-body "dimples" that are very small and one piece of the side body molding got cracked somehow.
This car is VERY sharp, VERY clean, and totally does not look, run, or drive like it has 139k miles. It is worth every penny of $5500.
The car is located in southeast Wisconsin about 25 minutes from Milwaukee.

I know, just looking for a more "exclusive"/rare care, plus I drove my brother's 97 and just fell in love with the thing!!
