Collector quality?
Collector quality?
Hi all,
I saw a 1990 IROC while searching online and it has only 6500 miles on it. Also, it mentions a "G92 option". Does anyone know what that means?
Thanks for the help and you can check the car out for yourself below:

Re: Collector quality?
Hi Scottie,
The G92 option was actually a performance option for IROC's and 91-92 Camaro Z/28's. This option included 4 wheel disk brakes and a posi rear-end with performance gear ratio. This option was only available on hardtop coupes (no T-roof or 'verts could be had with this after 1987). If the had the 305 engine, it must be a 5 speed to get the G92 option. Other features of the G92 option included higher speedo read-out, 16 inch wheels, dual cooling fans, engine oil cooler, and aluminium front brake calipers. It is a neat little unknown which I think will be much desired once these cars become collectors. If you are looking for a 3rd gen collector, consider the 1LE cars which aside from all the G92 options, also included an aluminium driveshaft, bigger brakes all around and aluminium spare tire.
