Cammed 2000 Trans Am
Cammed 2000 Trans Am
2000 Pontiac Trans Am
Color: Pewter
Miles: 86,5xx
Transmission: 6-speed
T-tops
I bought this car in November of 2007. When I bought it, the car was completely stock with 79K miles. The transmission had a bad 3rd gear synchro and I went ahead and had the transmission replaced. This car is in perfect running condition, there are a couple of scratches on the hood, and some of the chrome on the inside of the wheels is beginning to flake.
All the cam, valvetrain, and suspension mods were put on within the last 2000 miles, the RPM Transmission has around 3000 miles on it.

I also have a 160* Thermostat that has not been installed. To install it, you'd need a new thermostat housing which is $29 on gmpartsdirect.com.
Also parts that will come with the car is the stock cam, valve springs and retainers, pushrods, crank pulley, front springs, rear shocks, rear spring isolators, stock exhaust manifolds, t-top shades, and I'm sure there may be a couple other parts around here.
This car should be making around 390RWHP through the LS1 intake manifold, a quick LS6 swap would put you over 400RWHP. The tune on the car is fairly conservative and runs 12.9:1 AFR. If you wanted, I'm sure you could squeeze a few more HP with a more aggressive tune.
The Bad:
-The clutch pedal still sits on the floor at WOT and high RPM's, the car still drives perfectly fine under normal driving. We replaced the clutch master cylinder and did the drill mod in hopes to fix this, a 2001 or newer clutch slave cylinder should take care of this. I do have one sitting in the garage but have not had the time to swap it out. For an extra $100 I could through it in with the car as well.
-The driverside header collector taps the floor pan on first start up, but ones the car warms up or runs for a bit the tapping does go away.

I have a clean and clear title IN HAND as well as most of the receipts for parts I have put on the car.
Price: $11,000 OBO

The only reason I am selling the car is to save up for a 97+ vette. I have wanted one for a LONG time now, with all the other cars I've had and the money I put into them I could have easily had one by now, but I am determined to have one as my next car. I would prefer NOT to sell this car sight unseen.

The dealership I bought it from repainted the front bumper because when they got it in, it had a bunch of little rock chips. They didn't do the best of jobs but its not too bad in person.
