Blown 96 WS6

I am gauging interest on selling the car as a whole. It's a 96 WS6 with 89xxx miles. I have owned it since the warranty ended at 36k miles. The car is black with a tan interior, but the driver's seat is a summit racing seat black leather w/ slots for 5 point harness. Here is a list of mods I have made off the top of my head but it doesn't include every minor detail.

Engine
-Vortech S-Trim, 6 psi (comes with 11 psi pulley too)
-MAF relocation to pressure side
-Brand new K&N air filter
-36# Lucas injectors
-Racetronix Walbro 255 intank fuel pump
-Alcohol injection, windshield fluid bottle is the tank, shurflo 2687 pump, Alky Control controller in the cabin, m15 nozzle is hidden on the bottom side of the intake elboSw
-Front mounted intercooler installed but not connected to intake, mounted infront of radiator
-Comp XE 227/239 .560/.577 w/ 1.6 rr’s
-Comp 1.6 Pro Mag Roller Rockers Non Self Aligning w/ guideplates
-Comp ‘R’ Lifters P/N CC875
-CM612 valve springs (.600 lift) w/ titanium locks/retainers and new shims
-Hardened pushrods
-Cloyes Double Roller Timing Chain
-CSI Electric Water Pump (wired w/ relay and status light)
-Hypertech 160* thermostat
-OBDI computer from PCMforless with all the goodies. Car is tuned on the dyno but the tune was never finished due to a burnt plug wire (fixed), however there is no knock, A/F ratio is good etc. etc.
-Hooker Long Tube headers to 3 inch Heddman x-pipe dynomax bullets and turndowns
-Hooker Aerochamber muffler and Hooker twin slash cut silenced tips are held in place only to fill in the T/A bumper because it looks weird without tips but can be connected for a full catback.
-A/C Delete Pulley, compressor, condenser and all lines are removed
-Delteq Ignition, radiator mounted coil pack
-Autometer Z-series Boost gauge 30-0-20 (also fuel pressure but I cracked the face and disconnected it, fuel pressure is normal at about 43 psi)
-Autometer silver-faced tach. Perfect condition, red shift light
-CVR Protorque starter

Drivetrain
-1LE aluminum driveshaft (thicker walls, higher critical speed than LS1 shaft)
-Spec LT4 pressure plate
-SLP disc (no more than 25k on it)
-Pro 5.0 shifter w/ short stick and stock trans-am **** (nice simple one)

Suspension/Chassis
-Custom LCA’s with delron bushings
-Spohn LCA relocation brackets
-32mm front sway with poly bushings and endlinks front and rear
-Bilstein HD shocks
-Eibach Pro Kit
-Airbag on rear passenger side spring, deflated for normal driving

Brakes
-LS1 Calipers, Spindles, Rotors, Lines
-Hawk HPS Pads

Misc.
-Windows tinted 20%, rear window is 5%
-Clifford Concept 400 Alarm, Remote Start (be careful!!!) and Automatic Windows Up/Down, Proximity Sensor
-o2 sensors, PCV, fuel filter, air filter, etc. is all fairly new.
-Stereo consists of an Alpine 7995 mp3 deck with the upgraded internals and beefy rca outputs, image dynamics nx30 tweets in the front with x4 crossovers and a/d/s 325 is mids. Rear speakers are orion cobalt coax 6.5" @ 3 ohm. Amp is eclipse 82xxx (can't remember the model number but it's 85x4@4 ohm and 120x4@2 ohm).

NOTE: The car has an extensive sound setup. I did it all myself, it wired with 0 gauge power cable to the back and 4 gauge to the amps. The subwoofer setup is not for sale with the car under any circumstance. However I will part with the custom made box but not the subs or the amp. The box is made for 2 15" subs and I personally reinforced all of the seams with fiberglass resin. I will part with the box, the deck, and the high/mid setup for a little extra (I'm talking way less than what it's worth) on the price of the car. Otherwise, like I said before, I keep most of the stock stuff even if it is worthless like the stock speakers...

You will not find a car that has had better maintenance than this one. It’s been seafoamed a few times, throttle body, MAF, and intake tract is spick and span. The optispark (even though it’s a delteq) has less than 5000 miles on it and is actually still under GM warranty although it won’t go bad. Oil was changed with either mobil 1 or castrol full synthetic every 3000 miles or earlier. You can pull my valve cover off and take a shower in there it’s so clean. I still have like 90% of the stock parts from the exhaust to the clutch to the stock timing chain and valvetrain parts. It’s got a couple dings but nothing major and title is clean as a whistle.

I love this car and it will be hard to see it go. In fact I will probably regret selling it but right now I don't have the time and I need the money. The next owner will be a lucky guy... I mean what car can you drive around town, even daily if you want (it is that reliable), and still have enough power to leave streaks in your underpants when you get on it???? If I can't get decent money for it as it is then I will consider returning it to stock and selling the aftermarket parts.

I also have parts that have not been installed. One of the major items is my 8.8 rear end. All the parts are there, it just needs to be welded and assembled. I have the pumpkin with the trac-loc 28 spline diff., the 3.90 motive gears, the full FMS level c install kit. I also have other miscellaneous items that can be discussed with potential buyers...

Email me directly or respond to this post with questions or comments. If there is anything I'm missing or something in specific you were wondering about don't hesitate to ask because I'm sure I left stuff out... there is no wa y to fully describe all the small things and big things, blood sweat and tears, that went into this car without seeing it in person. I believe I can get a few people on this board to vouch for myself, my experience working at an f-body/y-body shop for over a year, and of course vouch for the immense power of this car!!!

Also, you may have noticed that I didn't list a price. That's because I only want to talk with people serious about owning the car. No games, no funny business.

Thanks,
Omar

You should know how much this car is worth... Now I'm not necessarily looking for that much but throw me a good offer that not lowball and I won't say no.

Re: Blown 96 WS6

I hope that was a joke... I'd appreciate if you not say things like that mario especially when I'm gauging interest on selling the car.

I mean think about it, this is not like you are going shopping at the grocery store. I figure the car without all the mods in the condition its in with the mileage it has is worth around 9 or 10k. I don't expect to even get half as much as I put into in aftermarket stuff, so call it maybe 4k. I don't like to count the exact amount of time and money I have put into the car because it hurts... Thats 13.5k total which is an awesome price for what it is (there is much much more than what is listed on this post). Now I'm just coming up with that figure off the top of my head.

I do not like to entertain shoppers. Only serious buyers, that's why I don't list a price in the first place. When you are buying something which has a very specific niche market like this car (modded muscle car), the buyer and the seller know what its worth and there is no need for superficial pricing... If you are seriously in the market and want the car, you can shoot me an offer. If it's a good offer, we can work together and find a price that we both like. Simple as that

If after a while I do not find anybody that will take the car as it is, I can always return it to stock and sell it that way. In that case I'd list it for a price that's close to the kbb at the time.

Re: Blown 96 WS6

Mods don't add to the value of the car. Your best bet would probably be to demod it and sell the parts and then get KBB or NADA(higher) for it.

Edit: Sounds like a sweet ride though. GL!

Re: Blown 96 WS6

Yeah that's what I figured... I thought it might be worth a try to see if anybody wants to buy it as a whole and save some money buying it like this if they planned to build something similar to this thing. I'm not in financial trouble or anything so if worst comes to worst I will demod it and sell it.

I'm only gauging interest it's not officially for sale yet, but I like to get input from you guys and I appreciate the advice!

Anybody interested in an adrenaline machine??? All you do is put your right foot down and shift when you need more adrenaline pumping.

Re: Blown 96 WS6

it wasnt a joke, i dont know what prices you are looking at and where u found them, bu ti can sell you a 98-99 with a ls1 motor ram air for 8-9k , so you figure the rest out,, all those parts you put on wont bring you that much in,, 96 t/a stock is worth about 5-6 depends on mileage and shape.. so $6500-7 is about right, the car is 9 years old you have to remember that

I understand that but honestly, in my opinion that is a lowball offer. Maybe it's not lowball to you, but to me it is. That's just completely unrealistic. I looked at several other LT1 WS-6 cars, which are pretty rare around here I might add which should add to the value a little bit. They were going for between 9 and 10.5 in good condition with similar or slightly less mileage. And that's outside of CA, in CA everything is more expensive. In fact I think there's one on cz28 right now.

I mean come one 6500 bucks??? You could buy it, return it to stock form and sell the aftermarket parts to pay for most of the car for that price. The car is nine years old but I have seen some 2001 cars with more miles and more abused... Plus the car is VERY well kept. To each his own, this car is a well-maintained, well-built, fairly rare beast. If I have to ebay it if I really decide to get rid of it then I guess I'll have to do that if nobody wants to throw me an offer over half of my asking price...

Thanks for the advice Joe.

Whatsup Jason, long time man how you been?

Re: Blown 96 WS6

realistically, I'd pay as much at 10k assuming the body/paint is in great condition. You're not going to get what your looking for though. If you are really dead set on that number, the only chance you have is returning it to stock and selling off everything seperately.

Re: Blown 96 WS6

I got that part... thanks for the input.

I guess I'll ebay it or or return it to stock. I'd be willing to let it go for 12 but no less than that the way it sits right now. Believe me, the car is in excellent condition. I do not let anything deteriorate. I mean ****, I'm a GM mechanic, when do you get the chance to buy a car owned and modified by somebody w/ experience??? Nobody will take care of a car like you would to your own, but many people with cars like this in great condition don't do the work themselves.

Anyway I guess none of those factors or the rarity of the car are worth anything on top of its raw value.... Anyway, selling a ws-6 on cz28 was a bad idea anyway. Like trying to sell ice to an eskimo.
