97 Autocross car FS
 

Very nice autocross car, very good power. I almost dont want to sell it. But I think that it is time. I've been out of college for a while and am holding a steady job. Maybe I'm getting older but I want something with more interior room and maybe 4 doors. Right now it is a street car complete with stereo and AC, but this would probably make a good track car if you want to gut it.

Engine:
SLP Cold air intake
Throttle body airfoil
Mac headers
Mac Y pipe
High flow magnaflow cat
Mac test pipe included
Mac catback
Reprogrammed OBD1 computer or I can give you the stock computer if you like.
Noticeable acceleration increase from stock.

Rear:
Torsen T2R differential (a very expensive unit, $650 new) + Shim and bearing kit to install it.

Suspension:
Hollow 35mm Suspension technique front swaybar
Ground Control Coilovers (550# front 150# rear)
Bilstein Shocks revalved to match springs (strano valving)
Aluminum Panhard bar with custom machined aluminum bushings and aircraft quality rod ends

Brakes:
LS1 front brakes with Hawk HP+ pads on all 4 corners. A year ago I bought the spindles, sandblasted all the rust off, painted them with a rust inhibitor, and got some new calipers and pads. Just installed new pads. Stops very well.
Forged ARP wheel studs

Wheels:
Stock rims with almost new tires.
Or 17x9.5 lightweight borbet aluminum rims
Or maybe we can negotiate for my 17x11s

Body:
Fender Flares and slightly flared front fenders

Misc:
Replaced the rubber steering bushing with a solid Aluminum one. Steering feel is sharp.
Running a 13 lb battery for the last 2 years using a bracket I made.

The car has a clean title. No accidents. 95K. 6 speed manual. All scheduled maintenance has been done. Water pump and timing chain was replaced at 75k. Running on fancy fluid- mostly redline. Paint still shines.
