Got a few new big trucks recently so time to liquidate the others. Just got rid of the F150 tonight and S-10 is next on the chopping block:
1996 Chevy S-10, 4.3L V-6, 5 speed manual tranny, 150,000 miles, standard cab, short box.
power steering, manual windows/locks, cloth bucket seats
Red exterior
Grey interior
Tires are still good, fronts look like new-rears are a little worn but still good 60% tread left
Cruise, A/C, AM/FM stereo cassette
The good:
Runs excellent and gets 20mpg
I installed a new class 3 hitch recently and truck has 4 flat and 6 round wiring ($160)
brand new injectors, intake gaskets/plenum gaskets, spark plugs, distributor, rotor/cap/wires ($1300)
Transmission was completely rebuilt prior to me purchasing this from my uncle early this year ($1100)...all new gears/syncro's, flywheel, clutch
The bad:
Truck was built in California and painted in the Van Nuyes plant...flaking clear coat.
Interior has stains on the carpet from wear and tear
Aesthetically, it's not a show truck. But if you can look past that, the actually truck your getting is solid drivetrain wise. This thing does not leak, burn, use any oil what so ever. I would have no fear of driving this anywhere in the country, I would not make that claim trying to sell this to friends or friends of friends...the truck is solid and reliable period-use it to take my daughter to school everyday.
Asking $2499.99 obo so shoot me your best price and we'll go from there. Great reliable, gas saving errand runner/commuter car that has alot of life left in it.
