95 Z28, 64k original miles, 6-speed, bone stock, mechanics special

hey everyone,

i have a 95 camaro z28 here in the bay area (berkeley) that i've had some bad luck with. i bought it about 3 months ago from an older dude who had barely driven it. it is totally stock inside, ac delco tape player, black leather, t-tops, all around terrific condition.

a few weeks ago a lady went through her stop sign and tagged me in the front/right. so now there is some slight body damage.

yesterday, the car was running a little hot and the low coolant light came on. i took it in and at first they said the thermostat wasn't opening up. but when they dug a little deeper, they found the thermostat to be fine, but it looked like the head gasket had slipped and is now blocking some of the coolant flow. blown head gasket?

i just put 4 new continental P245/50VR-16 ContiExtremeContact on the stock wheels in july.

anyone interested in what has now become a project car? i'm looking for $2k.

pics avail by request over email.

thanks,
seth

Willing to bet it's a water pump. Unless you got sludge in the oil pan or got smoke out the tail pipes. If it's a water pump it's a cheap fix check the weeping hole on the bottom side of the pump.
