95 Trans Am Convertible Red w/ white top - SOLD!!!
CAR HAS BEEN SOLD!!!
1995 Trans Am convertible w/auto transmission with 140k miles for $7300. Has the LT1 5.7 motor. I have owned this car since 1997 when it had 5100 miles on it. It has been my wife's primary daily driver for years, then it was mine for several years in 2002-2008 when most of the mods were put on the car.
Many of the replacement parts were lifetime warranty and all paperwork goes with the car in case you have issues with any of them. I have a history log of everything ever done to the car including maintenance since 1997.
Optispark was just replaced with a new AC Delco unit. Front and rear bumper was just repainted recently, I have before and after pics so you know what it looked like before, mostly rock chips on the front, and 2 small spots on the back where the paint had cracked due to a light bump, nothing but paint damage. Rest of the paint is in good shape, car was always garaged even at work when it was driven daily by my wife and I. I would say the rest of the paint is a 7.5 of 10 as it does have some light scratches here and there from normal use with 140k miles, but the finish/shine is still great.
Issues / not perfect: The driver rear tailtight looks like the plastic inset may be separating at the top. Aftermarket fiberglass ram-air hood has a medium size blemish where the fiberglass may have not been cured before painting, but is not noticeable unless you are right over it. Driver side seat bloster has a large tear. Convertible top shows wear and small cracks in seams but does not leak.
Tires still have over 60% of their tread.
Simmons OM rims are on the car, the original stock 5-spoke rims go with the car if asking price is paid along with the stock hood. The Simmons wheels are perfect with no curb rash or dents.
Interior is in good shape for its age and miles with the exception of the driver side bloster, see pics. The white interior was never sparkling white even when new.
Convertible top is in good shape, but has some discoloration and some small cracks in the seams, but does not leak. I would suspect it would need replacing in several more years. Car has been garage kept and parked in a parking garage at work, hardly ever left out. Top is original and is a hard type vinyl material rather than a cloth type material like some tops I have seen.
There is nothing that does not work on this car, window motors, locks, headlight motors, AC, and heat.
The Simmons wheels are 17x11 rears with 315/35/17 tires and 17x9 fronts with 275/40/17 tires.
Has the original floor mats, original stereo and steering wheel controls work fine.
Also has a 10 disc CD changer in the trunk with controller beside seat, disc changer door is broken but does not affect its operation.
Here are the parts I have a lifetime warranty for if they ever need replacing again with paperwork:
-Water pump
-driver side power window motor
-passenger side window motor
-passenger side headlight motor
-rear brake pads (not sure how this works but from Autozone)
Mods include:
-BMR sub-frame connectors
-BMR front and rear sway bars and pan-hard bar
-Lloyd Elliot LE1.5 ported and polished heads with flow sheets
-LPE 211/219 cam (have spec sheet)
-Crane Gold 1.6 SA roller rockers
-PAC Nitride treated beehive valve springs.
-Port matched and ported intake by LE.
-LT4 HD timing chain
-Kooks stainless long tube headers
-2.5" true duals over the axle with 2 different muffler configurations that are easy to swap out. 1set is louder than the other.
-Spare set of cats that bolt right in for emissions testing (ones on the car are hollow because they will hit on speed bumps and break the insides)
-Walbro 340 fuel pump and hot wire kit.
-Stock untouched rotating assembly
-Custom tune and spare PCM.
-New MSD coil
-Comes with spare MSD spark plug wires.
-NGK TRX55 IX Iridium spark plugs.
-Ram air intake and fiberglass ram air hood (stock hood with full purchase price)
-Transmission rebuild about 30k miles ago, performance build by Jack Laswell in Dallas.
-Transmission fluid cooler
-Aluminum transmission pan with drain plug
-BMR LCA with poly bushings
-BMR shock tower brace
-Bilstein Shocks custom built for this car
-TA Rear differential cover
-3.42 rear gears
-LT4 composite valve covers
-Larger LS1 front brake conversion with new slotted rotors (will fit with stock wheels also)
-Newer center interior console that has the extra cup holder and better console lid from newer LS T/A.
-Has the factory “Transmission Perform” button in console which changes the shift points and firmness of the transmission.
-Switch installed in underside dash to turn off the antenna so it does not raise up and down every time car is on as the antenna motor is prone to wearing out. I used a portable XM receiver and never used the radio much after the antenna was replaced with a Delco factory unit.
There may be more that I can't think of, will add if I remember more.
Overall, this is a great cruisin’ car that needs nothing to be a driver you don’t have to worry about. If you want it perfect, then Hawk’s has a OEM replacement white leather interior kit for about $750, and the convertible top would be another $1200 installed, that is really all it would need.
I have also collected spare parts that I thought I might need down the road, and I used to have another LTx powered vehicle. These parts may be purchased for extra dollars, including PCMs, set of heater hoses with the OEM correct bleeders, spare optisparks fairly new and used, factory brand new LT4 intake that is port matched, side mirror assembly, Racetronix 340 fuel pump, and a few other minor parts.
Please reply to this post for my cell number to talk further. Pricing is firm and no extras come with the car for any less.
