that's awesome.

where are you located, and how many boxes is in the car in?
or is it assembled, and just needs to come apart for paint?

1972 Challenger
Trade

Up for trade is a 1972 Dodge Challenger. The car is nearing the end of a 2 year restoration. My family is having to relocate out of state for work so I am pursuing a sale/trade option.

The car currently has all the body work done and is in primer. I pulled it from the body shop to mock everything up without damaging the final paint.

The main points of the car are;

1) Body shell and removable pieces were media and soda blasted and are now in primer. Driver’s floor, trunk floor, trunk extensions, lower fender panels, and lower rear window piece were replaced due to corrosion. The 4 speed hump was installed. Front and rear valances were replaced. Holes for left rear “Challenger” emblem, front hood “D.O.D.G.E.” letters and Rallye fender pieces were filled in.

2) Keisler hydraulic clutch is installed, new Centerforce clutch.

3) Four wheel disc brakes, front are Scarebird and rear are Wilwood. New manual master cylinder from MP Brakes and brake lines are ordered from Inline Tube.

4) 8.75” rear end is rebuilt, 4:11 ratio with Dana posi rebuilt also.

5) Rebuilt 833 overdrive.

6) Rebuilt 360. 975 heads, 10:1 KB Hyper pistons, new H-beam rods, windage tray, double roller chain. All balanced including new Mopar flywheel. Bell housing was indexed to crank, no offset dowels required.

7) Front end completely rebuilt including oversize bar and tubular upper control arms.

8) All new wiring harnesses. Rear light, front light, engine, and dash harnesses from Year One.

9) Rallye dash (72) with 2 tachs, one 7K and one 8K. New metal woodgrain panels for Rallye dash.

10) Black interior, seats are in excellent condition.

11) Replacement front original dash pad in excellent condition, needs vin tag changed over. (2 vin tags, one came with replacement dash).

12) New BF Goodrich tires.

13) New Summit HP Aluminum radiator.

14) TWO induction systems. One Holley 4 BBL 700 CFM Double Pumper and a original 1970 340 Six Pack. All three carbs are date coded 1970 and original Edelbrock Aluminum intake with Chrysler part number.

15) New bumpers, new rear trim.

16) New fuel tank and 3/8 sending unit

What the car needs (besides assembly and paint) are a headliner, carpet, door sill plates, passenger side mirror and the two rear chrome bumper extensions. It also needs exhaust pipes and mufflers. I have new exhaust tips, headers, and all factory hangers.

I have to start work in Virginia on Jan 9th, so I either need to sell, trade, or make transport/storage arrangements for the car by then.

I will consider trades for any nice driving Muscle Car (Camaro, Chevelle, Malibu, etc).

I have hundreds of digital photos from disassembly along with tons of catalogs, paper copy (and CD) of factory manuals, wiring diagrams, etc.

The car is located in Spartanburg, SC but will be transported to Virginia Beach, VA possibly in the next month or two.

The car is almost completely assembled. The new brake lines (from InLine Tube) are being installed today and am waiting on the carpet to arrive.

Will post some pics after I get the carpet/seats in.
