2000 Trans Am for sale - Austin, TX
For Sale: 2000 Pontiac Trans Am, LS1, 6-SPD, Pewter, T-Tops, Ebony (Black) Leather Interior, 16" Chrome Wheels, All power options, Traction Control System (TCS), 110,000 miles, located in Austin, Texas - $9,800
Upgrades and/or maintenance performed in the last 3 months:
- New Pro 5.0 Short Throw Shifter
- New SLP Lid
- New K&N Air Filter
- New GM Performance brake pads (all 4 wheels) from Thunder Racing
- New rear brake rotors / Front rotors machined
- New Yokohama AVS ES100 tires (1500 miles)
Interior Condition:
The ebony black leather interior is in great shape overall. The driver's seat is lightly scuffed where most F-body's are torn. The dashboard has a crack in it on the passenger side near the windshield. Good carpet and floormats. No stains or anything else worth mentioning.
Exterior Condition:
The pewter paintjob is still bright and shiny. The front driver's side headlight cover area has some minor marks from normal road chips, but nothing major or even noticable unless you get real close. There is a small scratch on the drivers door where it appears another car door opened into it. No dents anywhere.
Driveline Condition:
The LS1 is strong and has plenty of spunk left in her. Oil pressure always above 40 and typically between 45 - 55. The engine does not have the "notorious" piston slap condition which I've read about on this forum. She's always steady and smooth whether cold or at operating temperature. No leaks or problems. The T56 6-speed transmission is smooth as new and the Pro 5 shifter completes that package. The clutch is strong and grabs tight. Exhaust has Pro-Flo mufflers, which sounds pretty good. The check engine light is on and pulls codes 420 and 430, which indicate either bad 02 sensors behind the cats, or bad cats. Since this never affected performance, I never messed with it.
I don't want to sell this car, but I must in order to fund my '70 Cuda project. I've got a clean Texas title in hand ready to sign over. I am best reached on my cell 214-505-5532, or you can email at jterry5@austin.rr.com
