1LE Selling Advice
I have a mystic teal 1995 Z28 1LE w/65k in very good to excellent condition that I may be interested in selling. I have owned the car since 1999 and it has never seen snow or rain during this time. I do not want to go through the hassle of trying to sell this car locally and have every kid in the neighborhood over for a test drive if you know what I mean. I also WILL NOT sell it if I can not get more than the value of a normal Z28. Any tips on the best way to go about this would be appreciated.
Re: 1LE Selling Advice
What are you looking for?
The fact that there isnt much different to the car in 95 for the 1LE I dont know if you would get to much more for it.
If it was a low milage car or something you might be able to get more.

Number Produced: 106
(only 4 were the Mystic Teal color)
The reason these cars exist is because of SCCA showroom
stock racing. Prior to the ILE, the F-body was not doing so hot
in SCCA. So GM decided to make race-ready F-bodies. Since
SCCA requires all competing entries be production cars, GM
produced and made ILEs available to the public. 1LE’s have long been shrouded in mystery. Some people received ILEs without even ordering them! Most dealers were unaware 1LEs even existed. Actually to this date, most GM dealers still don’t know what a 1LE is!
Standard 1995 1LE features:
Basic option group
A/C delete
350ci, 5.7l LT1 engine w/cast iron block and aluminum
heads
10.5:1 compression ratio
Double overdrive Borg-Warner T56 6-spd transmission
w/stronger mount
Z-rated tires w/150 speedometer
Base stereo
3.42:1 axle ratio
Higher rate front springs (360 lbs/in)
Variable rate rear springs (130-180 lbs/in)
DeCarbon front and rear shocks w/stiffer valving
Harder bushings (front upper/lower and rear control
arms)
Large diameter anti-sway bars (32mm front, 21mm rear)
Increased cooling (same radiator baffling used on A/C
equipped cars)
Engine oil cooler
Panhard-bar w/stiffer bushings
CAGS (Computer Assisted Gear Selection)
12” front disc brakes, 11.4” rear disc brakes
Specially designed baffled fuel tank with pick-up/sock
High flow intake elbow
*It has been widely rumoured that these cars received
special high-lift camshafts but GM will neither confirm
nor deny this.
I will accept no less than $8,000 for the car. Non-negotiable. It is worth that much for me to keep it. It is a blast to drive and is a beautiful car!!

Re: 1LE Selling Advice
Super nice car! Best of luck.
To be honest the 1LE market is very finite. I sold my stock '98 1LE hoping it would remain so, but heads, cam and a blown motor later I was disappointed. Please make sure it goes to a good home. There are very few unmolested 1LE cars left.
