1996 Z28 For Sale - $3800! (VA)
1996 Z28 For Sale - $3800! (VA)
We are selling my father's 1996 Z28. He's sixty years old and has owned this car since it was just about new.
It is a Hurst-shifted 6-speed, teal green exterior (no paint work ever) with gray interior, and T-Tops. The car has about 97K on the clock and it has been garaged all its life.
The paint and interior are all original and both are in excellent condition. This car has never been raced or abused in any way.
The car received minor upgrades as the original components began to wear, such as a Magnaflow cat-back, a Stainless Works Y-pipe with cats, a recent SLP clutch to replace the original, etc. The car will pass emissions and safety inspection without issue (read below).
We recently replaced the OptiSpark with a new GM unit and installed a new GM water pump at the same time as a precaution. The spark plug wires, spark plugs, and radiator hoses were replaced at the same time. Our work was meticulous and can be completely trusted. We have all of the receipts.
Almost as soon as these updates to the car were completed, we received a transfer from VA to SC. We left the car in our locked garage in VA.
The car starts, runs, and drives, but air remains trapped in the cooling system so the car may eventually over heat if run for a long period of time. Additionally, the car sets occasional misfire codes, and an O2 sensor reads lean. These symptoms may or may not be a result of the car's being stored for such an extended period.
We are now working in SC and the car remains in our garage in VA. Our VA house is for sale and we are anxious to move the car. We are now living 500 miles away from the car and do not have an opportunity to finish the repair job we started, so the car is now priced to sell.
Show up with your trailer and $3800 in cash and take the car and the clean title. This car is very clean, very solid, does not leak oil (even after sitting in the garage for weeks), and is just a few hours of work away from being a fast, reliable car.
Delivery to select locations may be available at extra cost with a paid deposit. The original wheels will be included with the car.
This car is in remarkable condition and the new owner will not be disappointed.
The car is stored in VA, 22551, just off I-95 at exit 118.
Thanks,
Rick

I don't have access to any additional pics at the moment, because the car is stored in VA and I'm in SC.
I'll be back in VA soon and will take more pics then.
Please feel free to email or call me any time at 540/846-5118 for more details.
Thanks for your interest,
Rick
Because we suspect air is in the cooling system, we would not consider driving it a long distance.
We may consider delivery to Baltimore for an additional fee, and with a paid deposit.
Please feel free to call (864-224-3126) or email (RKHiPerformance@aol.com) if you have any questions.
This is an exceptionally nice car and the new owner will not be disappointed.
Thank you,
R & K

Hey Guys...
It looks like we'll be in VA for a brief visit this weekend, and if anyone has an interest in seeing the car we could probably work something out for Saturday.
Thank you,
Rick
