DESPITE THE MILEAGE THIS IS A NICE WELL MAINTAINED NOT RACED CAR.
Close to 30 MPG on the highway, so I have no time slips for it; but it is quick.
Just passed NY inspection on roller

THE BAD

1. Low oil pressure when warmed under idle or low RPMs was not fixed by replacing oil pump with white spring and lower rod bearings which were scorched. Oil pressure is 40 to 60 on startup and under load but will drop. Mechanical attached has it at 6# per mechanic but it will need to be torn down and figured out down the road.

2. Small chip less than dime sized on windshield passenger side low from a salt truck during blizzard on NJ turnpike.

3. Driver side mirror unpainted, have another new in box to send out for paint and swap with unpainted one.

4. Rear tires have less tread than fronts.

5. Throws a P0400 on highway intermittently when in 5th or 6th gear, EGR, Solenoid and vacuum lines were dealer replaced under warranty.

6. The optispark is original so it will go soon.

7. RPO code list is not in glove box which was replaced by dealer because original owner had ripped it up for stereo amp closure. It is not a documented 1LE if that's what you're thinking. I have email from Chevrolet giving partial RPO list for VIN.

8. Car has 160,000 miles worth of business and pleasure and has been to thousands of football, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer games and overfilled with kids of all ages up through college. It is not pristine nor is it trashed. It has experienced alot of Zaino and that's not a bad thing.

This car will run fine until the low oil pressure at idle manifests into something.

Just signed up for a 2006 GTO and the wife wants one gone, the 68 Skylark and 70 Riviera win and out goes the Z to a fellow member. I do listen to her sometimes and my four kids are sad to see it leave but it must go.

I've tried to be as honest as can be, so if you are mechanically inclined or want to take a chance this is the car for you.

PLEASE EMAIL QUESTIONS OR OFFERS ONLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO PMS.

It doesn't need to be parted out, runs and looks fine except for low oil pressure at idle, I am looking to make a member here happy before I donate it to the Harry Chapin Long Island Cares Foundation.
