I'm not sure about the opti or water pump. I was told the engine was rebuilt when I bought it, but I don't know that for sure. It does fire right up warm or cold and runs real strong. Seems just like all the other LT1 cars I've been in when they were newer.
I did replace the fuel pump and fuel filter about a year ago. It could probably use a tranny filter and rear end oil change since I've never done it, but they're both full and the tranny shifts as it should. The engine oil has been changed regularly since I've had it, and if you peek down the fill hole in the valve cover, the head looks REAL clean. There is no check engine lights on and it still gets over 20mpg on the HWY. It cruises down the road 80 MPH really smooth, straight and steady.
It will need window motors. The driver one is nearly done and the passenger is REALLY slow. The door panels are in good shape. The headliner is nice but sags. There is one small crack in the dash, it's a hairliner that's not noticable unless you are right up on the car looking into the windshield. The windshield is cracked. One of the tail lights is cracked as well.
It's not a perfect car by any means. But it's pretty darned nice for the money and is reliable/strong running. It's a 3.23 geared car so that helps a little.
