This car is my baby. I purchased it just about a year ago now with a blown motor. I am a technician at a local GM dealer and I installed another motor into the vehicle. The motor that was installed came from a 2002 Corvette, which was an automatic with less than 20k miles on the motor. The motor came into a dealer with the typical cold start knock. The dealer installed all new Teflon coated pistons into the motor. The owner came to pick up the car and found out they just put pistons in it, he was upset, and wanted a motor. The dealer ended up putting a motor in the car. The technician that put the motor in bought this motor as a core, knowing the motor was fine. I purchased the motor from him and installed the motor into the car. I have tons of pictures from when it was done. The block is an LS6 block, but it is running 241 casting heads (stock ls1 heads). The car runs REALLY strong for having no internal modifications. I put the car on a dyno and it put out 348.8hp at 5500 rpm, and 354.2tq at 5000 rpm. This car is not your typically hacked together modified and raced car. This car was professionally put together, and gone over.

When I bought the car, I took out the original motor and sent it to a machine shop. I had 1495 dollars worth of machine work done to it.
Align Hone - Hone the cylinders - Installed the cam bearings - Balancing rotating assembly - Cleaning the crank - Grind the crank - Resizing the rods - Weight matched the rods - Cleaned the block and check for cracks – and tons of labor.
Thunder Racing Trex Cam with Crane dual springs. – 800.00
Actual specs are:
Duration- in 243.2 ex 249.1
Lift- in .609 ex .615
Lobe Sep 109.2

Mahle Forged Pistons for stock bore – 556.00
Clevite crank, rod, and cam bearings.
LS6 oil pump
LS2 timing chain, with new sprockets.
241 Casting LS1 Heads with some porting on the exhaust side.
All new GM head bolts, Main cap bolts, and gaskets.

The engine is unassembled, but I can assemble it for no charge. The motor was being built to take a 200+ shot of Nitro, or go with some boost. I planned on putting the motor into the car this winter but things have came up and I won’t be doing it anymore.

The car has been my baby, and it has been taken care of with Zaino show car polishes. It has won a best of show at the 2004 Mid West F-body meet. I am a perfectionist, so I’m not going to hide it, there are a few rock chips, maybe 5 on the whole car which drive me nuts, but you can not see them from about 2-3 feet away. I have a lot of pictures of the car, numbering into the hundreds. I have pictures from every angle, and of just about everything. You tell me what you want pictures of and I can probably get them for you.

The car is located in Des Moines IA.

Car 22,500 / offer
Motor 5,000/ offer
Car and motor 26,500/ offer

I’m sorry, but no trades, unless maybe a C5
