Wiring vs ohms pic inside

well my current setup is like my pic need to copy and paste the URL into a dif browser...

well i dont totally under stand ohms... i think i have it set up for optimal power...

its a JL 500/1 mono stable at 1.5 ohm amp...

2 12 W3D4 (4 ohm) DVC subs....
im 80% sure thats how they are wired inside the box...

It looks like you have the subs wired so that they will present a 4 ohm load to the amp. It appears in your pic that you have each sub's VC's wired in series. This makes each sub 8 ohms. Then you have the 8 ohm subs wired in parallel to the amp which presents a 4 ohm load total.

You would be better off with subs with dual 8 ohm VC's. That way you connect the VC's in parallel to make each sub 4 ohms. Then you could wire the now 4 ohm subs to the amp in parallel for a final 2 ohm load.

I don't know all the specs on your amp but usually an amp will put out a lot more power into 2 ohms than it will 4

You can't get a 2 ohm load with the subs you have now.

Like I said above you need subs with dual 8 ohm voice coils. You would then wire them parallel/parallel for a 2 ohm load.

This is what you have now...
