Wiring in sub signal wire?

Well i have one of those wiring adapters alread and it has one signal wire coming out of it and i have a seperate subwoofer/amp besides my stock bose. I decided i would just try connecting both to the one signal wire but my 12" is not gettin constant power so is due to the fact that its splitting the current? Also is there a way to wire in both so i can keep my bose for the mids/highs?

What adapter are you using? What do you mean by signal wire and "is not gettin constant power"? Is it a wire to switch amp on/off? If that is the case, you can connect on/off wire from amp to your Bose (pink? - don't remember) remote amp turn-on wire. Or you are not getting a signal through RCA's?
