Hello, i am in need of a diagram to help me install a cd player into a 97 monte carlo, should have all the same wires for the stereo as my camaro did. but he no longer has the gm connector, his stereo was stolen and all thats left is split wires, can some1 tell me what all the diff colors are? so i can hook them up to the new cd players wires? the colors dont match the new cdplayer

The only thing I can suggest is getting a multi-meter and checking each wire for what it is. You can use the voltage meter to determine which wires have 12 volts on them (switched or constant) and the continuity checker to determine which wire is ground and which wires are for the speakers. Personally I would run all new speaker wires but thats just me.

 

go to installdr.com they should have gm wiring diagrams with factory colors etc
