Will a '96 radio work in a '94? Pontiac question

Can the AC Delco units be switched easily between years? Thanks.

Not really. The difference is in the harness. The Bose one has an extra wire for the amp on/off signal. The radio should work fine.

Yes, the radio seems to have an extra connection on the passengers side that my harness doesn't have. I'm still in the process of getting a wiring schema to see if there's an issue.

I have used an 01 Monsoon in my 93 T/A, had a friend use my stock 93 radio in his 94. So far as F-car radios from the birds, they are interchangeable. Even had a CD player from a Malibu in my TA at one point

The issue comes into play that 93-96 bose cars used a low level output to power the amp where as all 97+cars used a highlevel output regardless of if it was monsoon or not
