Where to mount PS2?

I'm wanting to mount my PS2 in my car and hook it up to a video screen, that will fold down from the roof, for the time being until I decide on a real dvd player. Where could I mount it?

Could I cut out the back of the glove box and mount it there? Will it get too hot?

Anywhere else I could mount it?

Not looking to play games while I'm driving btw.

depends on how much money you want to spend. You could have the PS2 taken apart and have a custom mount. Or, you could have a bracket made under the pass dash.

I'll go custom bracket since this is a temporary solution.

I guess I have to buy a power invertver as well?

I'm adding an Optima Red Top battery to my trunk.

Get a custom box made and put the PS2 between the 2 back seats on the drive shaft hump. I've seen that done before and it looks real clean.

Yeah I've seen people do that with their changers.

I'm doing up a fibreglass hatch enclosure right now so maybe I'll do up a box too.

Just custom mount it in your glove box. Do't worry it doesn't get too hot. I've had mine for about a year with no problems.

Did you have to cut the back of the glovebox out?

I have seen someone that mounted it in the center of the back seat between the two seats. They had a custom built box and it looked really sweet. If you don't wanna sacrifice glove space look into that.

I love Nick's set up and honestly think he has one of the most complete audio setups out of anyone out there. I really like the PS2 mounted in the glove box because of it's accessability.

I also remember seeing one between the two back seats...it didn't look too bad at all and probably would be easier to install if you were able to get a custom box.

I know this is just temporary, but for anyone out there that is looking for a more permanent PS2 setup... what happens in a few years when the PS2 is outdated?

I'm going to wait for the PS3 and have the first one ever mounted in a car!
