where to mount amp?

Allrighty guys.... this should be an easier one. I have a Kicker 350.4 amp installed, but now need a place to mount it. I should have enough wiring to mount it anyhere in the trunk. Currently it is just sitting in the trunk so I am being careful with my driving so it doesn't go flying anywhere. I'm guessing the gas tank is fairly close underneath right there. My buddy was telling me about some mounts that someone was making to mount an amp at the very back of the trunk, down in where the T-tops are stored. Anyone with mounting ideas, or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I don't have any subs taking up space, it's just powering speakers in the normal locations. Thanks for your help!

Click my sig to see how I made my rear wall amp rack. Since you have a Camarao you'll have to make some changes to the design to suit your car.

Re: where to mount amp?

I mounted mine on the back of the board that covers the rear section of the trunk. I ran the wires right under the side panels near the hinge and covered them with black tubing. There is a small amount of flexing from the weight of the amp but it hasn't been a problem so far.

Re: where to mount amp?

I took a plank of old cabnetry, mounted some 1.5" planks on the ends so it would stand up a little bit, mounted my amps on it, ran the wires underneath and just stuck it on top of the fuel tank. It looks decent, and doesn't shift around
