Where do you hook up your remote wire for an amp to the stock monsoon radio in a 99 TA?

So I take it you hook it up to the pink antenna wire. If so couldn't you just hook it up in the trunk where my antenna is so its a shorter run of wire?

 

You could but some folks like to do it at the radio so you can add a switch to lower the antenna whenever you want and still have remote turn on control of the amp.
