Question Where EXACTLY is the body control module and what does it look like?

I'm installing an alarm and need to tap into a couple of the wires on the body control module. All I know is it's under the dash on the passanger side. There's all kinds of wires, etc there. A description of what I'm looking for (ie what it looks like) and exactly where under the dash it is would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Schantin

looking at the wiring diagram for an alarm install and seeing that almost every wire is located at the BCM i would think it would be some type of box, with a few plugs going into, it says the BCM is located near the a/c blower motor, just look around and look at the wires see if any of the colors match up with the diagram.

Here's the location and what it looks like on a '96. Your '02 may be different, but this gives you some idea.

Remember you can tap the wire anywhere, not just right next to the BCM... e.g. on my car, the BCM is totally buried and I've never even seen it. But I was able to do my install by finding the equivalent wires under the passenger dash (factory service manual is a huge help here). Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I got the alarm installed today. Knowing which box was the BCM was a big help
