What's a good amp?

I'm in the process of putting a good system in my Formula. I've got an Alpine headunit and Pioneer and Infinity speakers all around. I've also got a CD-changer. I'm going to run two Digital Designs 15's.

It's been a long time since I've really researched performance stereo equipment. I'm hoping ya'll can help me figure out what amp(s) I need to look into getting. I know I'm going to run ~1,000W for the 15's. What amps are good nowadays?

I'm really leaning towards Alpine Amps. Anybody have any suggestions? The MRD-M1000 looks pretty slick. I'm going to need 1,000W for the subs, but I've also got to consider that I want to power my other speakers too.

Most likely you're looking at atleast 2 amps. I don't personally know of any single amp that will power all those speakers and still give you 1kW on the subs.

Stick with the normal brands, Kicker, Alpine, older RF amps, I'm also a fan of some other one: PPI, PG, Hifonics, Orion, Xtant, US Acoustics.

I figured it'd be @ least two amps, depending on what I could find; 1 per sub, 1 for both, 1 or 2 for the other speakers, etc.

I've got Pioneer REV's all around, already. Looks like they can handle 225W.

Any good suggestions/past experiences w/ 225W and/or 1,000W amps? I haven't ran anything myself but some Soundstreams.

Check out any of those names I suggested, they all make good amps for decent prices.

Audiobahn and JBL make some really nice amps too. I know for a fact that audiobahn makes amps that go up to 2300 watts and then some if you really wanna spend some cash.

JBL has a new line out also with a 2200 watt amp.

hope this helps.
