What would you say about this setup?

Hey guys just wondering, would a Subthump well box(145), two 10' Alpine type R's (190), and a Lanzer RK1200 amp (170) be the best way to spend about $500. I'm pretty new to this stuff so any imput on needed equipment or your opinions on a better setup would be much appreciated.

I agree with the box and subs but if u go on ebay u could get 2 12" Type R's for that price......as far as the amp im not familiar with it...but make sure u get a good amp cause I had some of the nicest subs and box but had crappy amps and ended up blowing one of the subs.....so the amp isnt something u wanna go light on i hear the people talk about the JBL or JL alot i forget which one it is.

I would pass on the Lanzar amp. A friend of my brother-in-law bought one and asked me to install it for him. I hooked it up on my bench and the amp was DOA. He took it back and got another one. Guess what...same thing. Lanzar used to make decent amps several years ago. I heard they were bought out by someone and their quality went down the toilet.

the BP600 is only 300RMS x 1, that wouldnt be good for two 300RMS speakers would it.

Well... How many ohms are the type R's your looking at if they are 4ohms I think the JBL will only feed them 150 watts, and if they are dual 2ohms then you can run them at 300 each I think you should probably double check. I have my jbl 600.1 running at 1ohm and pushing out the full 600 to a single 12
