im getting a custom enclosure pretty soon for my 95 z and it will fit 2 12" subs im thinking whats the best pair of good quality subs( about 800 or more peak watts) at the most about $350 for the pair and a good amplifier thats not way too much

nope, seperate, but about $300 for amp, and $350 for pair of subs
how about AUDIOBAHN A1300HCT(2400 watt) AMP with a pair of Audiobahn 2800 watt subs

 

try shopping at subthump.com That's where I got my enclosures. There very professionaly made. And this way you can use whatever sub you want.

 

ive always been an mtx guy , the new MXZ or MXS i cant remeber which are 800 watts a piece and u can get them at circuit city, but if u dont want them u can order teh 7500-9500 series off line or at any MTX certified dealer
check out specs on mtx.com , u can also try e-bay ive nevr had a prob with them

btw i have aMTX 81000 class D mono block amp 1500watts @2 ohm it retails at 6-700 im looking to get about $300obo plus shipping, great amp , awesome , power, awesome qualty, in brand new condition , rarely used (i have a sheet showing it puts out just abouve 1500 watts)
i wanted to keep it but for teh rigth price id be willing to part

Does it have to be 2 12's or can it be a single 12" that would sound better and be louder than a pair of most typical 12" subs.

If it can be a single sub, then look into the Adire Brahma, or Resonant Engineering XXX; both run about that price range, and WILL outperform and pair of 12" speakers for $350.

 

oh yeah hey man , sorry i backed out on that box, i decided to sell it all since im in the need for money and im doing performance parts

 

im putting this on a q logic custom camaro 12" enclosure...

 

I'd say look into the Adire Shiva's then... Properly powered Brahma's will literially destroy that enclosure; I'm not kidding either, they will break that enclosure apart.
