Angry What is going on?

(1)Just put in an alpine 7893,and my system had more bass with the factory monsoon deck in it.What is up with that? The supplied antenna adapter won't work either. The antenna connector is too wide at the top.Any suggestions as to why my system is lacking bass with the 7893 and where am i going to get an antenna adapter for it?

Did you bypass the monsoon amp or did you use it? The antenna adapter should be a standard antenna adapter. I'm not sure why that wouldn't work as long as you bought the GM adapter. The GM antenna has a really small end on it and the standard is shaped the same way but it about twice the size.

For the lack of bass, it probably has to do with whether or not you bypassed the monsoon amp or used it. It could also be settings with in your deck. The monsoon speakers were designed to be used with the monsoon amp and if they're not or if you have used aftermarket speakers, that's a likely cause for the troubles.

Yeah,i used the monsoon amp.I played with the time correction a little and it sounds better. The antenna cable end starts small and flares out as you get closer to the actual antenna cable. It would go into the adapter until it hit the wide top part.I still have all the stock monsoon speakers.

Are you sure you activated the Subwoofer output?

Thumbs up

Well I just installed the Alpine 7894 (which is like yours but a few extra features). And the Bass for me is more then the factory monsoon and I only have bass on +2. I did however install new speakers in my car also, so I think it might have to do with you keeping the monsoons amp and speakers setup. Oh yea, make sure you have MX on (makes the music sound much much better) and have defeat turned off. If you don't have a sub then you can turn that feature off to save power.

Unhappy

Well,i checked all the wiring, and it still sounds like $hit.I just put the factory hu back in for now.The bass output with the stock deck is three times better than the alpine. I don't know what's going on. I have a green with white stripe on the factory radio harness, but the wiring harness doesn't have anything in the plug to align with that wire.Does anyone know what that wire is?Could it be some kind of signal to the amp? I can hear the little 4" spkrs in back playing, but it seems that the sail panel spkrs aren't working.
