Viper Alarm System "Info Needed"
I'm rebuilding a totaled 97 V-6 Camaro that was hit in the front end. I have removed everything from the front bumper all the way back to the rear seats "interior, wiring, engine, I mean everything so I can weld a new front end on" While removing the harenss's & interior I ran into a Viper alarm system that had been installed. They did a pretty sorry job of splicing & connecting the system to the harness.
First Question- Are Viper systems a worth while system?
And if so, where can I get a set of installation instructions and maybe a owners manual?
I don't have any problem correcting the the poor splices & connectoins that are on the inside of the car, but most of the alarm system wiring that was run under the hood came out in very small pieces, since the front of the car was so mangled & I have no Idea what goes where.
I've also loooked for a Viper homepage & have been unsuccessful so far
If you could shed a little light on alarm systems, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks in advance, Bruce (70GTO)

Got a model #? Most dei alarms use the same color codes so this might work..

ign:yellow
gnd:black
+ door trigger: purple
- door trigger:green
- trigger:blue
domelight supervision:black with white stripe

lock harness:

if it has remote start capabilities:

Thanks josh, I know It took quite a bit of your time for your response and I really appreciate it
I'll look & see if I can find a model # and also, I'll look the system over and see if the info that you gave me fits this alarm.
Thank You, Bruce

Kudos to Josh
great response
It's a nice alarm system, I have base model 300ESP which I like and recommend to anyone for the price installed $248. Has shock sensor, hood sensor, hatch sensor, doors sensor, passive arming, flashing lights, siren and led. I didn't do starter kill or door locks since my car is a 1LE and has no power locks.

Well the car is at the body shop & after looking what pieces pertaining to the alarm system I have left at home I have found nothing that even resembles a model #. Must all be with the parts & pcs that are left on the car!
Well at any rate I printed out the instructions that you gave me & I'll go from there when I get ready to start putting the wiring, interior & engine back in it.
Thanks a million Guys, I really appreciate it.
