Upgrading 96 Camaro z Sound System????

Hey guys and gals,

I am wanting to upgrade my cd changer and speakers (currently bose speakers and delco cd deck). I was told at Best Buy I would have to change EVERYTHING b/c the Bose are all connected. For example, if I wanted to change deckes, I'd need to change speakers, etc, or if I wanted to change speakers, I need to change them all...cant just add a sub.....anyways, I was looking to add a 8 or 10" sub and get a new deck. Is this possible??

2nd, I only have about 1 grand to throw down on this, so keep that in mind for any suggestions....thanks

If you have the factory Bose setup is easier to replace everything and start from scratch. The Bose setup uses amps at each speaker and the speakers are a higher ohm rating 8ohms?. I just spent under a $1000.00 on my new setup(had factory Bose)

Pioneer DEH-P3500
MTX Thunderform CF10
US Acoustics Amps 2080 for sub
4065 for the front and rears
The amps look good for someone on a budget
(like myself)
Rockford Fosgate FNX1406 older speakers brand new in box still
Orion XTR 6.2 components set " "
Plus all the wiring and install by myself .
