Undercoating Inside of Car

This is a fairly simple question. My trunk and rear has begun to rattle and I have been planning on probably spraying some rubberized undercoating under my camaro and probably in the wheel wells - unless I go for POR 15, not sure yet.

I am going to be going to college in a month (but still keeping my car with me - I'm allowed it on campus). And this trunk rattle - it almost sounds like a cricket is getting on my nerves. I would like to save as much money as possible since I don't know what my expenses will be. Instead of buying a sound deadener how would just taping off and spraying my trunk area work with a Undercoating spray. Would this be a good idea? Any input or advise from people who have done this would be great before I spray it on...since I realize I probably won't be able to go back.

Thanks.

I have the entire inside of my car sprayed with 2 coats... worked quite well on reducing the road noise and the sheetmetal rattles...
