trunk release help

when i first got my car years ago the trunk release on teh remote has never worked. the trunk release button under the dash works fine though. neither of my remotes work and the batteries are new. anyone got any suggestions?

Have you tried reprogramming them? Not sure whether it would help or not, but I guess it wouldn't hurt, either.

ya its not the remotes. i just got my alarm system redone and the trunk release on my new remotes wont open the trunk either. im thinking there is some sensor in the trunk release that is broken.

What was redone? Is it aftermarket or factory?
