too much???

I'm getting ready to put a 12" Kicker L7 in my Camaro and my friend mentioned that they knew someone who had a smaller sub in one and it rattled the hatchback horribly. Is there anyway to prevent the rattleing if this does happen?? Or any special placement of the sub that could help?

Just wait till u get it in, and go from there you can always sound deaden, most of my noise was cured putting some foam tape on the insides of the two removable sidepanels to keep the plastic from vibrating on eachother... u should be fine

Re: too much???

If you look at the underside of the hatch towards the rear of the car there are two little rubber pads that you can unscrew a little, this may help with the hatch itself rattling. It can also help to make your hatch pop up if it doesn't want to come up without you pulling on it. Can't remember the website that I found that on (trying to give credit)...

Re: too much???

Honestly... I just played some music that I knew made things rattled, then just felt around and found exactly what was rattling. Then just apply foam weatherstriping between the parts where they are vibrating together. I have no rattles neither with my old system or new.

Old:
2 S12L7's in a sealed enclosure; subthump deep-well box, each being fed 800Wrms.

New:
2 10" Adire Brahma's sealed enclosures where the back seat used to be, each being fed 1.5kWrms.
