Talking They said it couldn't b done

Just finished with my rear fill in a 2001 SS Convertible. Yes, I know many don't care for rear fill & in a vert it is probably worse.

Yet.......... All the more reason. As a vert owner I want to get as much sound as possible. I have just finished installing 165V Slim Focal's in the rear w/the help of a 1" spacer. They handle 60 W RMS & will be powered by only 25 RMS w/ my 500/5 JL Audio amp. The tweeter install with them went sweet. They are just a couple inches below where the seat belt comes out & at a slight angle so they do a cross at perfect ear level for the driver (post pic's later). No cutting or major mods nec. It just took 4 hours to figure the 1st one & then about 1 1/2 for the other side.

I am finishing up my amp crossover rack (glassing) & should be done painting next week for the final install

Alpine 9835
SWI-X
XM (when avail)
Focal 165K2P's front w/tweeter mount on a pillar (no luck w/Kev's custom mount; boo hoo)
Focal 165V Slim rear
Focal 27WX Utopia Subwoofer
Passenger side stealthbox (Subthump)
JL Audio 500/5 amp
All monster cable : 14/4 CiPro XLN for speakers, 12 Ga XLN for sub, 401 XLN Interconnectors.

Custom built fiberglass amp/Xover rack.

Sweeeeet!
