Bass isn't just a "rap" thing, and a good subwoofer can make a system be a lot more than you could imagine.

In all honesty for a system suggestion...

#1) Ditch the 6x9 speakers, they are not helping any.
#2) invest in a set of quality components for the front, and a mild subwoofer setup for the back (10" stealthbox and a small amp)

The components and subwoofer setup will blow away the system you have currently in all respects for performance. In reality it can be done for a small budget; probably about $300 total if really done on a budget.

Thanks alot man. . What do you have in mind for the front ?. Them Infinitys arent good ?
And what should i get in place for the 6x9s? just the ones that fit in the stock place? or get ones that will mold into the extra holes right to the sides of the people in the back seats? Is my non expensive pioneer cd player screwing me at all?

I agree... toss the 6x9's

In fact, forget about rear speakers all together. All you really need for a quality sound system is a good set of components up front and a sub or two in back. I don't listen to cRAP either. Just good ole Rock n Roll and I would hate to lose my subwoofers. Check out my setup. I don't use rear speakers at all in my system yet when I demo it for people they always ask me what speakers I use in back.

Thats what the components in the doors are for. The ONLY reason, IMO, you need rear speakers is if you are running a true surround sound setup where you can add delay to the rear channels. And nobody I know thinks 6x9's are all that great. Maybe back in the 70's when the only speaker cutouts in the car were in the rear package shelf but thats it.

For your setup I would recommend a 4 channel amp with a built in crossover that can deliver at least 50 RMS (NOT MAX) watts x 4. Use 2 channels to power the component speakers and bridge the other 2 channles to power the sub. Once you have that and you just absolutely have to have rear speakers you can add a set of co-axials in the B-pillars and power them off of the HU. Since you have a '95 I think you have 5-1/4" speakers in your doors. They might be 6-1/2" but I don't think so. You can go to Crutchfield.com and use their "What fits my car" feature to determine for sure what speakers will and won't fit your doors. Try to stick with a respected brand of amplifier like Alpine, MTX, Rockford Fosgate, etc. DO NOT buy Pyramid, Profile, Rockwood, Kenford and crap like that. I've been involved with car stereo for over 30 years and in that time I've experienced so much troulbe with Pioneer electronics that I wouldn't own a Pioneer HU if you gave it to me. But since money is tight go with what you have now. You can always upgrade down the road.

i agree with LS1 RULZ about the pioneer HU's... I had mine in my old car for less then a year... sat in it's box for 6 months, then I put it in my camaro and it instantly died. I got it serviced under warranty cause it's Pioneer Premier, but that was another month plus getting fixed. For close to $500 I think it should be problem free for well over a year

Re: Suggestions for Audio!!

I have to defend pioneer, i have found nothing but good luck with them, but everything else is right. spend your money on a good set of component fronts, 6 1/2 will fit your car, all the way around actually. a good stealthbox ( by subthump) in the trunk, a 4 channel amp, and you will be golden. my components are made by a company called powerbass, and I love them. they arent a very widely known maker, but they sure are awesome. excelently clear highs, rich mids, decent bass... but you dont care about the bass in them. thats what your sub is for. all said and done, ebay will take care of you for everthing but the box for a few hundred, and you will not regret it!

i love pioneer head units... always worked well for me. if your getting one set put them in the back pods by the rear seats....those sound louder because of the location
