Question Subthump Millhouse Box

Hello all,

I'm new to this site, but an old friend of the camaro. I've owned 4 camaros in the past and currently own a 2001 Z28.

My question for you all is what is your impression of the Millhouse Subwoofer box on the Subthump website? Is it secure? Does it rattle when given lots of bass? Any other concerns or opinions?

I want to put in some subs, but don't want to loose the t-top rack in the back. I was thinking about the stealth box, but was advised to stay away from it. Due to its size and location, it wouldn't give out much performance.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Tony

The Millhouse box is a great product for running 2 10" subs, which I would say isn't optimal but that's me. Whoever told you that bout stealth enclosures may have been a little bit batty or they were talking about the plastic ones. A fiberglass box is in pretty much everyway superior to MDF and plastic. You can get a good 1 cube on the drivers side and 1.3 cubes on the pass side easily with stealths. Check my sig for pics. PM me or post up with any questions.

Re: Subthump Millhouse Box

The milhouse boxes are very popular for those reasons you listed. Keeping t-top storage and performance. The majority of stealths out there are for 10s and are somewhat limited--depending on your taste in bass. Although a lot of 10" stealth owners are very satisfied with the amount of bass provided by that setup. But a dual 10 milhouse can hold two 10s wheras a stealth can only hold one. The single 12 milhouse has more volume than most of the fiberglass 12" stealths you will find. So the milhouse has a performance edge. It really boils down to how you want your system to look and how much stealth you need.

I hope you are talking about those crappy prefabbed plastic messes, because I know my stealth box volumes as I have measured them with water displacement.
