Subthump Amp rack and hatch speakers???
Hey guys, I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with a few questions I have.
First, does anyone have a Subthump Amp rack and if so, how do you like it and how does it install?
Second, what should I be doing with my rear hatch speakers? Im getting a 4-Ch amp and installing it soon, but I dont know what to do with the rear hatch speakers? Just forget about them or what? Back in the summer, i bought brand new Pioneer 4-ways for the door and sail panel, and 2-ways for the rear hatch, but i soon figured out that signals are all messed up with the stock speakers, so I took the wiring that went to the rear hatch speakers, and put it into the sail panel speakers and havnet been using the rear hatch speakers. So i guess im wondering if I should be trying to seel them on ebay or if it would be worth it to somehow use them? Thanks for any and all help!!!

Re: Subthump Amp rack and hatch speakers???
Steve's amp rack is based on my design. You can see the details by clicking my sig. Since you have a Camaro, the way the rack attaches to the car will be different than what can be done in a Firebird.
Forget about the hatch speakers. I'd also get rid of the 4-way speakers you have and replace them with a good set of 2-ways. I see no point in having a speaker that has what amounts to multiple tweeters in front of the mid-woofer. A single tweeter along with the mid-woofer are more than enough to cover the spectrum from the lows to the highs. Anything more is just marketing hype for consumers that think if a 2-way is good then a 4-way MUST be better. It just aint so.

Re: Subthump Amp rack and hatch speakers???
Thanks for the heads up! I dont plan on getting rid of these speakers because all out sound quality is not my goal, just decently better than stock is all I want, plus I dont want to spend money on new speakers when I just got these a few months ago. But I will be getting an amp rack shortly
