i just installed an msd 6al ignition in my car and not my jl 250:1 amp dosn't seem to turn on. i checked the power cable moving it to the other + post and back and forth.. i check the connection to the amp to. i also check the ground and it looks solid. I also check the remote and it looks fine. I didn't check the remote connection to the deck though because i wanted to post before having to take apart the dash. the only thing my amp does is the "thermal" light will blink occationally. Any ideas?

I hooked up the ignition ground to the ground post right next to the coil and the positive to the positive post. I had to lengthen the positive cable to do so and just used some slightly bigger wire from lowes if that helps at all. thanks
